Biography
For over two decades, Andy Hawk has been fusing musical genres into his own unique hybrid sound, actively influencing the music scene.
His constant quest to make a name for himself in the world of electronic music is evident in his continuous development and impressive performances. Driven by passion and love for music, he never ceases to inspire audiences.
Born in 1981 in Gelnhausen to a humble family, Andy discovered his passion for technology at an early age, which laid the foundation for his musical journey.
Even as a toddler, he took apart his toys and later his parents' cell phone, driven by the desire to understand exactly how things work.
By the age of 10, he was besieging his uncle's computer, asking him thousands of questions to quench his enormous thirst for knowledge.
Andy soon focused on the programming language "BASIC" and conjured up his first small works of art using the hardware and internal PC speakers available at the time.
His journey of discovery eventually led him to the first sequencers, which showed him new and seemingly endless possibilities.
At the age of 12, Andy started playing the keyboard and shortly afterwards had his first gig.
Financed by his first job as a newspaper boy, Andy bought his first synthesizer at 16.
The second and others soon followed after he gave up his paperboy job and took a job as a programmer.
Shortly after his 17th birthday, Andy bought two turntables and continued to invest in studio equipment and his record collection.
He became known as a DJ at private parties. Through his friend Jürgen Frosch, now a member of the band "Scooter", Andy had his first major gig at Paramount Park in Rödermark when he was 19.
Jürgen helped him to get a permanent position at the music distributor "Discomania", which was another pillar of his musical career.
This was followed shortly afterwards by Andy Hawk's first vinyl release on Sigma Records and further releases on Red Silver, 2Tribes and numerous other labels.
A career boost came with his appointment as headline DJ for the record company "Drizzly Music", for which he mixed over 60 compilations.
Bookings followed at major German festivals like Nature One, Ruhr in Love, and Electric City, until the name Andy Hawk became quickly internationally known through numerous performances in Finland, Ukraine, Poland, and other countries. The transatlantic leap was achieved with Andy's project "Di:Polar". It was played in the most famous clubs in the United States.
His work is characterized by continuous creativity and tireless work in the studio.
It is this dedication and talent that continues to drive him forward.
